Why Patients Choose Us for Implants
Our Miramar office offers the full implant journey under one roof: consultation, placement, healing check-ups and your final crown. You see the same dentist — Dr. Gorman — from the first visit to the last.
Because Dr. Gorman is certified in IV sedation, patients who have been nervous about surgery can have their implant placed while deeply relaxed. Several implants, or an implant combined with other treatment, can often be done in a single visit.
We accept most major dental insurance plans at the Miramar office and offer monthly financing through Cherry, including 0% APR options for qualified patients.

How Implants Work
A Permanent Tooth, Root and All
A dental implant is a small titanium post that replaces the root of a missing tooth. It is placed in the jawbone under the gum, and over the following months it fuses with the bone in a process called osseointegration. An abutment then connects the post to a custom crown that looks and feels like a natural tooth.
Because titanium is biocompatible, the body accepts it well. Implants are the only tooth replacement that also replaces the root, which helps preserve the jawbone and keeps neighboring teeth from shifting.
Healthy adults with good oral hygiene who have lost one or more teeth are usually good candidates. Your general and oral health — including the amount of bone available — will be reviewed at your consultation.

Why Implants
The Advantages of Dental Implants
Compared with bridges and dentures, implants are the closest thing to a natural tooth.
Look and feel natural
Speak, smile and eat with confidence — implants are anchored in bone, so nothing slips or clicks.
Built to last
Dentures typically need replacing every five to ten years. With proper care, an implant can last for life.
Easy to care for
Brush and floss normally. There is nothing to take out at night and no special cleaning routine.
Protect your jawbone
Missing teeth lead to bone loss and shifting teeth. An implant stimulates the jaw like a natural root.
No damage to neighbors
Unlike a bridge, an implant does not require reshaping the healthy teeth next to the gap.
Placed with sedation
Nitrous oxide, oral or IV sedation is available for every step of implant treatment.
The Process
Your Implant Treatment, Step by Step
Timelines vary with bone health and the number of teeth being replaced.
01
Consultation & planning
Dr. Gorman examines the area, reviews X-rays and your health history, and designs a plan for your smile.
02
Implant placement
The titanium post is placed in the jawbone — comfortably, with sedation if you choose.
03
Healing
Over the following months the post fuses with the bone. A temporary tooth can often be worn in the meantime.
04
Your new tooth
An abutment and custom crown are attached, matched to the shade and shape of your natural teeth.

Questions & Answers
Implant FAQ
How long do dental implants last?
With good care, the implant post can last a lifetime. The titanium post fuses with your jawbone (osseointegration) to create a stable foundation; the crown on top may eventually need replacing after normal wear.
Are dental implants painful?
The procedure is done with local anesthesia and, if you prefer, nitrous oxide, oral or IV sedation. Most patients report only mild soreness during recovery that is managed with over-the-counter pain relief.
Does insurance cover dental implants?
Some dental plans cover part of the implant or the crown. Our team checks your benefits and explains financing options through Cherry before treatment.
