Dr. Gorman built Sedation Dental Spa around one belief: no one should avoid the dentist because of fear. Certified in IV sedation and trained in implant surgery, he treats patients at both our Miramar and Lighthouse Point offices — from routine care to full-mouth restorations in a single, comfortable visit.
Background
From the U.S. Navy to Sedation Dentistry
A native of Tallahassee, Florida, Dr. Gorman enlisted in the U.S. Navy right after high school and served four years, including in Desert Storm.
He earned a Bachelor of Health Science degree at the University of Florida and then his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He went on to earn certification in IV conscious sedation from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed extensive training in bone grafting and surgical implant placement and restoration.
That combination — general, cosmetic and implant dentistry together with IV and oral sedation — lets Dr. Gorman complete even a full-mouth restoration in a single visit while patients rest comfortably, often with little memory of the procedure.

A Conversation, Not a Sales Pitch
Your first visit starts with an exam and a conversation. Dr. Gorman listens to your dental history, asks what worries you and explains every option in plain language — with no pressure and no judgment, whether it has been two years or twenty since your last visit.
If you choose IV sedation, the experience is simple: you arrive, a small IV is placed, and most patients next remember waking up with their treatment complete. You will need a driver to take you home.
Dr. Gorman focuses on sedation dentistry, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and full-mouth restoration — the cases where patient comfort matters most.
