Cosmetic dentistry focuses on how your smile looks — the color, shape, size and alignment of your teeth. Treatments can fix a single chipped tooth or be combined into a full smile makeover planned around your face.

Dental Bonding
Dental Bonding: Fix a Chip or Gap in One Visit
Bonding is the quickest, most affordable cosmetic repair. Dr. Gorman applies a tooth-colored composite resin to the tooth, sculpts it into shape and hardens it with a curing light — usually in under an hour per tooth, often without any numbing.
It works well for small chips, minor gaps, short or uneven edges and isolated stains. Bonding is not as strong or stain-resistant as porcelain, so it typically lasts several years before it needs touching up; for larger or longer-lasting changes, porcelain veneers or crowns may be the better choice.
Bonding can also be combined with whitening: whiten first, then match the bonding to your new shade.

He earned his DMD at the University of Florida, holds IV conscious sedation certification from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the American Dental Implant Association.

What cosmetic treatments do you offer?
Veneers, teeth whitening, bonding, crowns, Invisalign, implants and complete smile makeovers — at both our Miramar and Lighthouse Point offices.
Is dental bonding or a veneer better for a chipped tooth?
For a small chip, bonding is faster and less costly and can be done in one visit. For a larger chip, a tooth that is also discolored, or a result you want to last longer, a porcelain veneer is usually the better long-term choice.
Can cosmetic dentistry be done under sedation?
Yes. Whether you need veneers, implants or a full makeover, treatment can be done with nitrous oxide, oral or IV sedation so you stay comfortable throughout.
How long do veneers last?
With good care, porcelain veneers typically last 10 to 20 years and composite veneers around 5 to 7 years. Dr. Gorman will recommend the best option for your goals and budget.
How much does a smile makeover cost?
It depends on which treatments are combined. As a guide, porcelain veneers typically cost $900 to $2,500 per tooth and Invisalign $3,000 to $8,000. After a consultation you receive a written plan with costs, and financing is available through Cherry.
